Meet Our Instructor
We would like to welcome our newest instructor to World Class Academy of Beauty Careers… Ms. Marva Williams
“Your Hair Is My Care”… Marva remembers as a little girl having a pair of tweezers in her hand not realizing it was preparing her for “Her Love” of becoming a stylist. Marva love and embrace her craft because it’s the talent that the Lord has blessed her with. Marva loves doing hair, make-up, and have a special love for her customers and students.
Marva has been in the industry for over 27 years, starting as a shampoo girl while attending college at Tuskegee Institute. She then realized that was her passion. Upon leaving college and moving to Tallahassee, she later enrolled at Euro Hair School in 1989. After completing 1000 hours of study she challenged the State Board and in 1990 received her license in Barbering.
Marva’s ultimate dream was to open her very own salon, which became a reality. She launched Marvalous Hair & Nail Studio on Adams Street in June of 1994. Throughout her career she has been well known for her infamous French Rolls, Stack Ponytails, Finger Waves, Sassy Short Cuts, Sew-ins, Silk Blowouts and World Class Wraps.
Over the years another one of Marva’s heart desire was birthed into reality, she became an Educator where she now teaches on Wednesday’s at World Class Academy. Her mission and goal as an educator is that “every student taught by her pass their state board exam on their first attempt.”
To date her business location and name has changed. She is now known as: Marvelous Hair & Make-up Studio located at 3203 Apalachee Parkway, Suite C. Her slogan is: “Look Marvelous, Feel Marvelous and just be Marvelous, Where looking good is understood”
